News letter on Jayalekshmi’s need by Paul Chandran

Greetings to you; in Jesus’ mighty name.  We trust and hope in the Lord that you are well.

We recently distributed food packets to many in need, and now we are conducting a medical camp in a remote village. There was a young lady who came to help with the project. I had the opportunity to talk to her and found out that her husband left her for another woman. She has two grown-up girls (Hana and Sheeja) – 18 and 16 years of age. Together, they stay in a small hut with no bathroom. I was drawn towards this sad story and invited them to our home and shared the Gospel, following which they prayed with me. During a follow-up session, Jayalekshmi mentioned her house was leaking from the asbestos sheet roofing. This video is from my meeting with the girls. Use it to help remember their faces when you pray for them.

Now that I know about their plight, I could not help but share the genuine need to have a new house. A few were kind enough to help with a good portion of the total cost, about $4,000. But we need another $7,000 to start construction on the new home.

Would you please pray for this family and the funds for a new home?

If you feel led to contribute in any way, big or little, it would be a great help as well!

In Christ,

Your brother, Paul.
