David and Beth served as Christians in Action (CinA) missionaries in Korea and Japan from 1976 until 1986. They returned to work on the international headquarter staff in 1987 where Dave served as administrator to President Elgin Taylor. David was appointed vice president of CinA in 1991 and was then elected international president when Elgin retired in 2002. Dave served as president until 2008.
David graduated from U.S. Naval Academy in 1963 and served 11 years in the Navy before resigning his commission to become a CinA missionary. He also holds a master’s degree in civil engineering from University of Michigan (1970) and a master’s degree in theology from Grace Theological Seminary (1987). Beth is a retired public school music teacher.
Dave serves as the Assistant to the President, David Ingerson, and continues to provide vital service to CinA.
